COPE Preparedness has taken an important step towards mitigating one of the recognized gaps in community preparedness.  Studies have shown that vulnerable populations including those with language barriers fare far worse in disasters. With the help of our Platinum sponsors including Phillips66, State Farm and Providence Medical Centers along with a mini-grant from the Centers for Disease Control through the Los Angeles County Community Disaster Resilience project (LACCDR) the successful Map Your Neighborhood (MYN) program will be translated and offered in Wilmington, CA.
