California’s Secretary of Veteran Affairs and founding Board Member of COPE Preparedness Major General (Ret.) Peter Gravett will be the Keynote speaker at “The Tribute to Military” the Harbor City/Harbor Gateway Chamber of Commerce event. In remembrance of 9-11 where thousands of innocent Americans lost their lives on that very tragic day, the Chamber will honor our community’s Men and Women who regularly put their lives in danger when the lives of others are in jeopardy. The “Tribute to Military” will honor our men and women of the military branches, including the Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force. They will also be honoring the Merchant Marines (VA of WWII), Coast Guards and a special tribute to the men of the USS Iowa. With the understanding it would be very hard to honor just one person, the Chamber feels that by honoring the branch, we are honoring all of our Men and Women who serve our country so well. The event will be held on September 7th from 11:30am to 1:30pm, located at Sunrider International, 1625 Abalone St., in Torrance, CA 90501. The Chamber has also made arrangements for a special tour of the world famous, Sunrider Chinese Museum and Art Gallery, which holds a magnificent collection of Chinese artifacts. This tour is a rare treat for all.
