COPE-Preparedness co-founder and Board member, Carter Calhoun, is running for Honorary Mayor of San Pedro. The Honorary Mayor campaign is a fundraising contest hosted by the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce, the candidate who raises the most money for their charity of choice is elected to the two year term. Carter is raising money for two local charities, Toberman Neighborhood Center and COPE-Preparedness. This is your chance to support COPE’s community outreach work by making a donation! If we can raise $3,000 towards this campaign, COPE will be able to publish and distribute our Monthly E-Newsletter for 6 more months. If you are reading and receiving this e-newsletter you know that it provides relevant and important emergency preparedness information. Your help is greatly needed and appreciated.
Donate BEFORE MAY, 29TH by logging on to www.cope-preparedness.org and clicking the ‘donate’ link on the right column.
You are also invited to join Carter at a fun Meet & Greet at Toberman on May 22nd at 5pm: details here: http://www.toberman.org/hon-mayor/
Carter has demonstrated a life-long commitment to helping our community become more resilient. Starting with his dedication to COPE Preparedness for the last decade and continuing with his desire to help the Toberman kids climb out of poverty into productive lives. We are all very proud of his dedication, commitment and ability to contribute to a better community for all.
