Carter Calhoun maintains an active commitment in his community through a diverse number of interests.

Carter is the owner and manager of PC Nerds Onsite, a professional computer support company well-known by their reputation of fast, friendly, and professional service.

In addition to his entrepreneurial interests, Carter has dedicated himself to community service by getting involved with a number of different community service organizations and non-profit organizations.  He served two years as chair of the Annual Teams Fundraising campaign for the San Pedro and Peninsula YMCA, where he led over 200 volunteers in a coordinated fundraising effort.  He then went on to organize the Teen Phone-A-Thon for the San Pedro and Wilmington Boys and Girls Clubs.

Since 2006 much of his efforts have been dedicated to COPE Preparedness. He graduated in 2007 from California State University Long Beach with his baccalaureate degree in Sociology.   In 2010, Carter completed a year long humanitarian enterprise development aid project for the international Voluntary Service Organization (VSO) where he worked with the Maasai in Kenya, Africa to help them build their eco-lodge resources to provide for their health and education programs.  He is working on his Masters in Community Development through the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada.
